Last minute shoppers look for bargains

Lawton_On Christmas Eve many folks are at home relaxing with their families - but a frantic few are braving emptying shelves and racks in disarray along with long lines to shop at the last minute. Some said they didn't have time, and some wanted to wait and see what sort of sale they could catch. However, others shop at the last minute because they always have.

Santa and his elves may be busy packing the sleigh with toys and other presents, but last minute shoppers fill their baskets. While everyone has their own reason for putting shopping off - such as good deals - others see it as frustrating. Those who do last minute shopping say that they don't plan on changing their routine - it's tradition after all.

If you have not finished your Christmas shopping, you may be out of luck. The majority of stores closed early on Christmas Eve.

The rush isn't expected to make much of a difference for retailers. A report from the International Council of Shopping Centers says that this will be the weakest holiday in quite some time.
