Caddo County teen in critical condition after being shot in head

Caddo County_The son of a well-known Caddo County family is fighting for his life after someone shot the 19-year-old in the head on New Year's Day. The Apache Police and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are trying to find out who shot Nolan Sexton in the head.

Neighbors were shocked to hear the news and investigators still were collecting evidence in what could be a murder investigation. Police say they are not sure if the shooting was an accident or if someone shot the teen on purpose. The Sexton family is well-known, in Apache, for owning an electronics store and home supply business.

Neighbor Calvin Cook said he was surprised this happened. "This is really a quiet street here in Apache," he said. "We re on the outskirts of town and we never think anything too bad would go on here." Nolan was living with a friend on Mount Scott Road, and remains in critical condition at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. It is not yet known whether drugs are alcohol are involved.
