Frederick woman remains in serious condition after New Year's crash

Frederick_Twenty-nine-year-old Christy Lynn Stultz remains in critical condition after a collision on State Highway Five in Tillman County.

Police say Stultz was driving her 2000 Dodge Van westbound on Highway Five when, for unknown reason, she ran off the roadway to the left, traveled 190-feet through the ditch and struck a culvert.  After impact, police say the vehicle rolled an undetermined amount of times, and ejected the passenger, thirty-five-year-old Clifton R. Golden, also of Frederick, from through the windshield.  The vehicle came to rest on its wheels.

Golden was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical examiner from internal and external injuries to his trunk.  Police reports say Stultz was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, but Golden was not.

Clifton Goldon was transported to Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick.
