Man hits girlfriend with car

LAWTON_ A suspected drunk driver was booked into the Lawton jail Sunday night after police say he hit his girlfriend with his car. The driver tells officers he was going to pick up his girlfriend near 15th and Lee  Boulevard when he made a turn and hit her. He says he did not see her next to the road. The woman suffered a broken leg.

Officers conducted a field sobriety test on the driver at the scene and they say he failed. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Police are still investigating whether he intentionally hit his girlfriend.
