Oklahoma State Revenue

Another strong month for Oklahoma tax revenue collections.

That even comes during December's sobering Christmas sales.  According to a report, sales taxes increased 3.6 percent over the same month a year ago. Gross production taxes on oil and gas were up 75 percent.

The revenue report wasn't all rosy, however. Personal income tax collections declined by nearly 6 percent from the previous year.  That can be attributed that to the growing unemployment rate.

Motor vehicle taxes are also down, that shows weak sales of cars and trucks.
