A Lawton Correctional inmate charged with murder has pled guilty to a lesser charge.
Michael Rose faces 45 years in prison. That sentence stems from a guilty plea to second-degree murder for the beating death of fellow inmate Charles Willingham.
Police say Rose and another inmate were trying to extort protection money from Willingham, but he would not pay.
The other inmate charged in the murder is Brandon Horne. His trial is set to begin next week.
