Second incident of car vs. buffalo on Lawton's east side

Lawton_The Comanche Nation Police Chief says a buffalo struck by a car on East Gore Boulevard on Wednesday night is recovering.

A Lawton woman slammed her car into the massive animal in front of the Fort Sill-Apache Casino around 9:30 PM.  The buffalo got up and walked away, and police found it south of the road on tribal land.  It had clumps of fur missing.  It is the second buffalo involved crash on the East Side of Lawton in just over a week.

A driver struck and killed a two-year-old bull on East Lee Boulevard on February 23, and police say there have been many reports of buffalo on the loose in that area.
