Charges filed in case of starving horses in Cotton County

Cotton County_Charges have been filed in the case of starving horses found in Cotton County in February.  The Cotton County District Attorney's Office says Frank Joe Parks faces one charge of cruelty to animals in connection with the case.  If convicted, Parks could be sentenced to five years in prison, and/or pay a fine of up to $5,000.

The Comanche Nation found seven horses dead in a field on their land, and another 14 severely malnourished and appeared to be neglected.  The horses were seized and now are being nursed back to health.
