LAWTON, OK (RNN Texoma) - Good morning! Temps are still above freezing for most of us this morning. Other than some freezing drizzle on higher elevated surfaces, there should be no major impacts to travel starting your Friday.
Most of this morning and afternoon will be quiet. Temps stay above freezing most of the day. After sunset tonight cold rain will transition into freezing rain and sleet before becoming snow early Saturday morning. Ice totals should be between .1 and .25 inches overnight into early Saturday. Snow totals should be between 2 to 4 inches across SW OK and N TX Saturday. There will be impacts to travel. Roads will be slick and dangerous Saturday into Sunday morning. Isolated power outages also will be possible.
Roads will be problematic into Sunday, even after the winter weather has ended. Due to melting and then refreezing, slick spots remain problematic Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Highs next week reach the 40s and 50s. Lows stay in the teens, twenties, and thirties.
