Rain chances and very windy conditions move in on Thursday

LAWTON, OK (RNN Texoma) - Good afternoon Texoma! It looks like a quiet evening ahead all across Texoma with temperatures into the lower 40s by 10PM. Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 30s. Tomorrow is going to be another mild afternoon with temperatures climbing into the upper 50s and lower 60s. We will hold on to cloud cover during the morning hours, and then see some sunshine return in the afternoon. Isolated rain chances build in anytime after 10PM.

There will be chances for rain all day Thursday, as a cold front moves through Texoma. We aren’t expecting a washout, as light showers to drizzle is expected. Counties with the higher chance of seeing more of the precipitation will be central and eastern Texoma. High temperatures on Thursday will be in the lower 40s. We will likely see a wind advisory issued for Thursday, due to very strong winds out of the north at 25-35mph and gusts up to 50.

A few snow flurries and wintry precipitation is possible during the overnight hours into Friday morning, due to temperatures dropping into the lower 30s. We are not expecting any accumulations, and little to no travel impacts for your Friday morning commute. High temperatures Friday afternoon will be in the upper 40s.

This weekend looks nice and mild with temperatures in the mid 50s. Expect some sunshine and a few clouds to stick around into the beginning part of your next work week.

Monday and Tuesday the low to mid 50s stick around. A small chance of more isolated rain showers look to move in next Tuesday.
