LAWTON, OK (RNN Texoma) -More than 16-hundred people were without power in Lawton Wednesday morning.
That’s according to an outage map from Public Service Company of Oklahoma.
Most of the homes without electricity appeared to be in the south part of town, near the Lawton - Fort Sill Regional Airport.
The outage map from PSO shows that the first reports of people without power came in around 6:40 Wednesday morning.
We’ve learned there was a 2-vehicle wreck near Belmont Avenue and 11th Street, which hit a power pole. However, officials at the scene told us the wreck was not believed to have caused the power outages.
Our photographer at the scene told us there were ambulances responding, but no word on if there were any patients transported to hospitals.
As always, we’ll keep you updated here on 7News as we continue to learn more.
