LAWTON, OK (TNN) - This afternoon we will continue to see the cloud cover dissipate and skies become mostly clear through the evening. Temperatures across Texoma today will span from the upper 40s to lower 60s for highs. This evening, winds shift mainly to the south, and temperatures will hold in the low to mid 40s through 10PM.
Friday morning temperatures will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Strong south to southwest winds sitting at 15-25mph will warm our temperatures up very quickly, with highs reaching into the low to upper 60s. We will see some sunshine tomorrow morning, but cloud cover will increase throughout the day. Rain chances return in the afternoon, and will hold into the morning hours on Saturday. The arctic cold front arrives during the overnight Friday into Saturday. As the front moves through Texoma, very strong winds out of the north at 30-40mph are likely. Also during the overnight into the mid morning hours on Saturday, temperatures will drop and light snow flurries mixed with a few rain chances are possible. We could see a light dusting of snow in a few places across Texoma, but little to no travel impacts are expected. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the mid 30s.
North winds will continue into Sunday morning sitting at 10-20mph, this mixed with actual temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s will create some very cold wind chills into the single digits. Sunday afternoon, skies will clear and temperatures will warm into the mid 40s.
Monday morning will be another cold and blustery start to the day with actual temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s, and wind chills in the teens. Monday afternoon will be warm with temperatures in the upper 50s and even some lower 60s. We will also see a few more clouds build in during the afternoon. A weak cold front will impact Texoma Monday night into Tuesday cooling temperatures back down into the mid to upper 40s.
Wednesday and Thursday look quiet with temperatures warming into the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s.
