Electra man charged with alleged sexual assault of girl, 8

WICHITA COUNTY, TX (TNN) - An Electra man has been booked into the Wichita County Jail for one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

According to court documents, the Texas Rangers were contacted on January 2, 2019, by the Electra Police Department to assist with a sexual assault investigation.

Electra PD said an 8-year-old girl made an outcry of being touched inappropriately by Hunter Vowell, 28. The victim was taken to Patsy’s House Child Advocacy Center in Wichita Falls for a forensic interview.

During the interview, the victim said Vowell touched her inappropriately sometime around December 24, 2018, at his home in Electra.

The victim also showed investigators where on her body Vowell allegedly touched her by pointing to the area on a photo of a girl, according to court documents. A warrant was issued for Vowell’s arrest on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

He was booked into the Wichita Co. Jail that evening and that is where he remained at the time this story was published with a $50,000 bond.
