LAWTON, OK (TNN) - FFA students in southwest Oklahoma received a visit from the state FFA officers Thursday.
The officers went on their goodwill tour through Lawton, Marlow and Central High schools. There, they spoke to students about what they do within the association and answered a few frequently asked questions.
“Well, our job as state officers is to serve the members. Our job during our term which is one year is to instill a sense of leadership and encouragement within them and make sure they’re aware of all the opportunities within the organization," said Emily Kirk, Southwest Area Vice President of the Oklahoma FFA.
The state FFA officers say they try to visit six schools a day, spending about an hour at each one.
