LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Temperatures will be in the mid 20s and lower 30s to start your Wednesday. Places that still have wet roadways and temperatures below freezing will see some refreezing occur this morning. Keep an eye out as you head out the door for these slick spots, especially over bridges and overpasses. We won’t have to worry about below freezing temperatures for long today, as highs look to hit the low to upper 50s throughout Texoma. Sunshine will return this afternoon as well, but not before a little cloud cover sticks around this morning.
Thursday-More clouds build in tomorrow morning, but temperatures are still expected to climb into the mid to upper 50s by the afternoon.
Friday and Saturday-Rain chances increase throughout Friday afternoon. Rain showers should remain isolated and on the lighter side, primarily for central, southern, and eastern Texoma. High temperatures Friday afternoon will be in the mid 50s. Rain chances will gradually increase through the overnight into Saturday morning. Saturday light to moderate showers are expected along with a few non-severe thunderstorms. This next system will clear by the late morning to early afternoon. Rain accumulations right now look to be around 0.25-0.50 inches Friday-Saturday. Saturday afternoon as a front moves east skies will clear, and winds will increase to 20-30mph out of the northwest.
Sunday- Lots of sunshine is expected, along with temperatures in the upper 50s. Make sure to get outside and enjoy the nice conditions for the end of the weekend.
Monday and Tuesday- Highs will be in the lower 60s under partly cloudy skies. Another cold front returns next Tuesday evening.
