First Alert Forecast

Rain and windy conditions in store for Saturday

First Alert Forecast

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - This morning temperatures will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Cloud cover will continue to build in throughout the morning and afternoon. High temperatures today will be in the low to mid 50s under mostly cloudy skies. Drizzle and isolated light rain showers are possible as we go continue through the rest of your Friday. Later this evening into the overnight a few non-severe thunderstorms are possible as well.

Saturday-Light to moderate rain and a few non-severe thunderstorms are likely early in the morning. These showers will be scattered throughout Texoma ahead of a cold front that will move in by the mid morning. Once the front passes, dry air and clear skies will lead to plenty of sunshine for tomorrow afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. There is a High Wind Watch in effect for tomorrow as winds are expected to start out of the southwest and turn to the northwest at 30-40mph with gusts to 50-55mph. These strong winds mixed with low humidity will keep the fire danger on the high side.

Sunday-More sunshine will return and temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Winds will calm for the end of the weekend.

Monday and Tuesday-Temperatures will continue to warm into the lower to mid 60s. Plenty of sunshine will stick around Monday, but a few more clouds build in Tuesday.

Wednesday-Another strong cold front moves in from the north and will bring colder air into Texoma. Highs on Wednesday will be in the mid 40s, and continue in the mid 40s through Thursday. As of now we are not tracking any precipitation chances associated with this front.
