First Alert Forecast

Very strong winds are expected for your Saturday afternoon

First Alert Forecast

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - This morning the rain chances have moved off to the east, and strong winds are beginning to develop. Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. We will see plenty of sunshine return to Texoma this afternoon. There is a High Wind Warning for our central and western Texoma counties along with a Wind Advisory for our far eastern and southern counties. These have been issued as winds are expected to be 30-40mph with gust up to 50-60mph. Fire Danger is also very high for all of Texoma today, in part, due to the strong winds, low humidity, and dead vegetation.

Tomorrow will be a beautiful end to the weekend with high temperatures in the upper 50s, lots of sunshine, and light winds. Make sure to get outside and enjoy the warmer air and sunshine before a big cool down comes during the middle of next week.

Monday and Tuesday high temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. There will be a little uptick in winds both days out of the south at 15-25mph.

Wednesday morning a cold front will move through Texoma cooling our temperatures into the mid 40s. There will be a few chances for some light rain and drizzle associated with that front. Highs in the 40s will stick with us into next Thursday, but warmer temperatures in the 50s return next Friday.
