Authorities say the pair split up at a gas station near Harrison and Avenue E.
The passenger was wanted on several arrest warrants, according to police. Officers, who were actively looking for the passenger, identified him in the car and attempted to pull it over. He bailed from the car as the driver sped away.

Authorities say the driver made it to his home, about a block away on Collins Street, before he was taken into custody.
