LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Members of the community gathered together at the First United Methodist Church in Lawton on Saturday to support of the March of Dimes.
It was the second annual craft and vendor show. The show runs in conjunction with EZ GO’s March of Dimes drive they do in their stores every year to raise awareness and help premature babies and babies born with birth defects.
About 25 vendors were at Saturday’s event, with products including jewelry, wood decor, and girl scout cookies. All of the money the vendors paid for their booth space will go to the March of Dimes. The church also donated their gym to be used for the event.
“My older daughter was actually born five or six weeks early. So, it really kind of hit home with me," said Kevin Bodtke, area manager for EZ GO stores. "I said, you know what, I’m going to do whatever I can to help this cause and try to gain as much as we can for them.”
If you missed Saturday’s craft show but would still like to help the March of Dimes, you can make a donation at any area EZ Go.
