WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Wichita County Sheriff Deputies say they discovered two marijuana joints hidden in the cell of a man awaiting trial for murder.

Detention officers discovered the contraband during a “shakedown” of the Jail Annex.

Detention officers found the marijuana hidden in a deck of playing cards, which had been placed in a property bag on a bunk.

The bunk was assigned to Sean Anthony Richardson, 25, of Wichita Falls.

Richardson was originally booked into the county jail in February of 2018 on charges of Murder.

He is accused of abusing an infant in 2017. The abuse led to the baby’s death in June of 2017. He has remained in the jail for more than a year with a bond set at $200,000.

Court documents say Johnson admitted to investigators that the marijuana was his.

Richardson has been charged with Prohibited Substances and Items in a Correctional Facility, a 3rd degree felony.
