LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Thunderstorms are expected later this evening into the overnight but most of the weekend should be dry.
Mostly cloudy this evening with scattered storms possible in western Texoma through 10PM. A few storms could be severe with damaging wind gusts and large hail. Temperatures in the low to mid 60s by 9PM. Overnight, showers and storms will spread east with the highest rain chances around and north of the Red River. A few storms overnight may contain some hail and gusty winds but they should weaken after midnight. Lows in the low 50s.
Tomorrow, showers and storms will be possible during the morning, then skies will become partly cloudy. There is a chance of isolated storms during the evening in eastern counties. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Partly cloudy tomorrow night with lows in the low 50s. Mostly cloudy to mostly sunny on Sunday with north winds developing in southwest Oklahoma. Mild with highs in the 70s.
Despite northeast winds on Monday, a nice day is expected with highs around 70 and mostly sunny skies. Slightly cooler on Tuesday as highs hold in the mid to upper 60s. Then, a significant warming trend will take place, leading to 70s from Wednesday through Friday.
