LAWTON, OK (TNN) - The man who police say led officers on a wild chase last year has pleaded not guilty.
33-year-old James Johnson was in court Monday where he waived his right to a speedy trial.
Police say Johnson ran from police when they tried to stop him for speeding. He did not stop until his vehicle got a flat and hit a light pole.
He's charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious injury to property.
Johnson’s trial date is also in June.
