LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Every Sunday at 1 p.m. you can find a group of dog owners walking their pups together at Elmer Thomas Park.

The pack walk gives people a chance to spend time with their dogs while also learning leash manners from Prairie Oaks Dog Training. The founder of Prairie Oaks Dog Training, Marcia Cronk, said it is the perfect opportunity for dog owners to walk their dogs in a safe environment while also giving their pets a chance to spend time with other dogs. She said it does not take long for the dogs’ behavior to improve.

“Oh yeah. Very quickly. People come out and their dogs are barking and lunging and they’re off their leashes and reacting to the squirrels and the prairie dogs or whatever," said Cronk. "By the time we’re done with one or two walks, they’re a totally different dog.”

The Prairie Oaks Dog Training pack walk happens every Sunday from 1 p.m.-2p.m. at Elmer Thomas Park, and it is free. For more information visit their Facebook page.
