LAWTON, OK (TNN) -Good morning Texoma! It is a cold one out there this morning, so make sure you are bundled up before heading out the door. A lot of places are in the mid to upper 30s. There is a Frost Advisory for our Texoma counties along I-40. That goes until 9AM this morning. As we head into the afternoon cloud cover will gradually increase, but you should still expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. Later this evening strong to severe storms are possible for our southern Texoma counties. This is a low severe threat for primarily wind and hail. We will see the storm threat diminish by midnight, but rain showers will stick around.
Tomorrow, all of Texoma will be dealing with rain at some point during the day. Our central Texoma counties will likely see rain for most of Saturday afternoon. Showers will stay on the light to moderate side, but a few heavy downpours and rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out. Rain accumulations throughout Texoma look to be around 1-2 inches. Highs tomorrow afternoon will be in the upper 40s.
Sunday, conditions will begin to clear and sunshine will return. Highs on Sunday will be in the low to mid 60s. The 80s return for Monday and Tuesday. Winds will pick up next week out of the south ranging from 15-30mph Monday-Wednesday. A few rain and storm chances return Wednesday afternoon.
