WASHINGTON D.C. (TNN) - Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe met with members of the Altus Chamber of Commerce this week in Washington.
Chamber members were in the nation’s capital for their annual Quail Breakfast, giving them a chance to meet with lawmakers to advocate for the city.
They and Senator Inhofe spoke on a number of issues like military readiness and the recent additions to Altus Air Force Base.
The senator said he was pleased with Altus’ dedication to nation’s defense. He said in part, quote, "We saw just how important Altus is to our military readiness as a nation with the delivery of the KC-46, the start of a an exciting new chapter for Altus Air Force Base and Oklahoma. "
