LAWTON, OK (TNN) -Good morning Texoma! Widespread rain showers are impacting most of the viewing area, and we will see this continue into the afternoon. There may be a few storms along with the rain, but nothing severe. Winds will be strong today as well out of the northwest at 20-30mph. Temperatures this morning will be into the mid to upper 40s. High temperatures will come around noon today with a lot of places in the mid to upper 40s. Later this afternoon and early this evening we may see a little break from the rain, but then more will build in before tapering off by midnight. Rain accumulations today will be anywhere from 1-2″ with a few localized places seeing above 2″.
Tomorrow morning will be very chilly with lots of places in the mid 30s. The cloud cover will clear out tomorrow as well and lots of sunshine will return. Highs temperatures to wrap up the weekend will be in the low to mid 60s. The dry weather sticks around through Tuesday with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Wednesday afternoon a few isolated rain showers and storms are possible, but most of the activity should stay east of I-35.
A little late week cool down will pay us a visit Thursday and Friday with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Dry weather is expected though, and that should stick with us through next weekend.
