ALTUS, Okla. (TNN) - Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a 12 year-old boy Friday night.
This was near East County Road 166 around 10:45 p.m. two miles South of Altus.
He was transported by Survival Flight to Comanche County Memorial Hospital with internal injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver, 18 year-old Daquan Riggins was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital with injuries to upper and lower extremities. He has been treated and released.
Five passengers, all minors were in the vehicle with Riggins at the time of the collision. One has been treated and released from Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Another was transported by Air Evac to OU Children’s Hospital in OKC in critical condition. Two others were taken to OU Medical Center in OKC and were admitted in serious condition.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Stay with 7News as we learn more.
