Driver taken to hospital after crashing into Lawton home

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A driver was taken to the hospital after crashed into a Lawton home.
The crash happened just after noon Friday on the 1600 block of northwest 38th.
Police say the car struck the carport, then ran into the home.
After hitting the building, the car caught on fire but was quickly put out by responding fire crews.
Police say the crash happened because the driver suffered what they call a “medical episode.”
