UPDATE: Health Department says no confirmed mumps cases in Comanche County

FLETCHER, Okla. (TNN) - The Oklahoma Health Department says they have had no confirmed cases of the mumps in Comanche County in 2019.

The statement comes after Fletcher Public Schools announced on their Facebook page on Wednesday morning that a student had a case of the mumps and was contagious in mid-September.

The OSDH also said in a statement that “there are currently no recommendations in place for any contacts of suspect Mumps cases in Comanche County.”

Fletcher Elementary School officials tell us that a parent called in and told them a child had been diagnosed with the mumps which prompted the Facebook warning.

We will have more on the situation tonight on 7News and KSWO.com.
