LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Preparations got underway Friday for the Wichita Mountains Classic Show.
Registration ended at 6:00 p.m. Friday night.
The show will run from 8 in the morning to 9 at night Saturday and Sunday, with a steer, heifer and a special pre-junior show.
“For the next couple of days, we’ll have steers, heifers, showmanship. We’ll have pre-juniors. They’ll be coming in, and they’ll show in two rings Saturday and two rings on Saturday. They have the opportunity to show under four judges for the whole weekend,” said Renee Payete, chairman of the agricultural committee for the Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce.
There will be competitors coming in from across the country to compete for monetary prizes.
There will also be vendors on site for for those still needing to get in some Christmas shopping.
The show is free to attend.
