DUNCAN, Okla. (TNN) - A Duncan man will spend the next ten years in prison for owning guns while under a protective order.
Authorities say 34-year-old Chad Kaspereit also lied on a federal form to buy the guns in 2017.
At the time he was under a protective order and barred from harassing his ex-wife and their three children.
During the trial, evidence was shown that Kaspereit used the handguns to threaten his second wife.
He was sentenced to ten years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release.
Authorities said the sentence was necessary, quote, “to protect the public from Kaspereit’s violence.”
