HOUSTON (AP) _ Sunnova Energy International Inc. (NOVA) on Monday reported a loss of $17.5 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of 21 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 33 cents per share.
The residential solar company posted revenue of $33.6 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $34 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $144.4 million, or $4.14 per share. Revenue was reported as $131.6 million.
Sunnova Energy shares have climbed 57% since the beginning of the year.
