UPDATE: Lawton mayor amends proclamation, closes non-essential businesses
The City of Lawton's "virtual city hall" will soon allow residents to pay their bills online.

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Lawton Mayor Stan Booker has amended the civil emergency proclamation to close non-essential businesses in the city after the first two COVID-19 patients were confirmed in the county.

The new rules take effect at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
