WAURIKA, Okla. (TNN) - The man who lead Sheriffs on a pursuit in Cotton County has been found.
The chase happened Tuesday in Waurika, starting in the small town and heading down highway 70. It came to a close when the driver plunged his pickup truck into a 30-foot ravine and ended up upside down.
On Wednesday, Sheriff Tim King says deputies found the driver about a mile south of the crash more than 24 hours later.
King says the man knocked on a farmer’s door tonight and asked to use the phone, before running back into some brush.
Deputies and a game warden used night vision and thermal imaging to find him.
The sheriff says he was taken to the Jefferson County jail because the chase started in Waurika.
