UPDATE: Victim, suspect identified in Chattanooga murder
Officials have confirmed the victim is 31 year old, James “Smiley” Cloud, of Chattanooga.

CHATTANOOGA, Okla. (TNN) - Officials have released new information in the murder of a Chattanooga man on Tuesday.

Authorities have identified the victim as James “Smiley” Cloud, 31.

They say Cloud was shot and killed at his home near 6th and Monroe in Chattanooga sometime on Tuesday.

A person of interest has been taken into custody and is being held on a 1st degree murder complaint. The suspect has been identified as Larry Standridge.

Cloud’s body was found inside his home on Tuesday morning after he failed to show up to work and co-workers went to the home to check on him.

Last week, Standridge was arrested and charged with kidnapping and domestic abuse after police say held a woman against her will and assaulted her. He had been released from custody on $30,000 bond.

The bond in that case has since been increased to $500,000 as official murder charges are being prepared against Standridge.
