Adrian Stallworth enters guilty plea

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A man who faces several charges in the death of Byard “Dakota” Moore entered his plea on Friday.

Adrian Stallworth pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, unlawful removal of a dead body, desecration of a corpse and conspiracy.

Byard Moore went missing in June 2019, with his body being found in August 2019 on private property west of Lawton. Several men were arrested in connection to his death.

According to investigators, Moore was invited to the house of one of the men, Ryan Jones, where he was beaten and then Stallworth then reportedly told police he zip tied Moore’s hands and feet and used a bicycle peg to gag him.

A bag was then allegedly placed over his head. His body was placed in a wooden box and burned in a pit.

Stallworth entered a guilty plea to his charges on Friday, January 8. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison
