LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) -

With the clear skies we’ve saw overnight, it’s cold outside this morning. Temperatures are in the 20s for most with a few isolated 30s. Temperatures by sunrise today (7:41AM) will likely drop into the 20s for most. With light winds and clear skies, those wind chill values will likely be in the teens to low 20s all morning. So essentially what I’m saying here is bundle up!!! Before heading out the door not only is the extra layer a must but so are the shades! Plenty of sunshine on tap today and that sun will allow temperatures to warm into the low and mid 50s by the afternoon. Expect mostly sunny skies, quiet and dry conditions until Thursday. For Wednesday, temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 50s. Thursday all will see 60s but this warm up is very short lived.

By Thursday a cold front will push through early in the day. Behind the front will be cooler weather but also expect windy conditions during the day. Sustained at 15 to 25mph with gusts into the mid 30s. Highs will still rise into the upper 50s and low 60s despite the cold front. For now, the coldest air will be displaces to the east of us so temperatures will stay rather seasonable heading into the weekend. With low humidity, dry air and breezy winds.. fire danger is a concern for Thursday and Friday.

Another wave of energy will arrive sometime on Sunday bringing with is a low end threat for precipitation. With the system still so far out, expect changes in the forecast.
