LPD investigating overnight shooting near bar

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The Lawton police department is investigating after being called out to a shooting near a bar early Monday morning. They were called out to the 18-hundred block of Cache Road just before 2:15 a.m. When we arrived on the scene, we saw a woman being put in the back of an ambulance.
LPD has confirmed the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Officers were also conducting a thorough search of the area while we were there.
They tell us that there is no danger to the public at this time. This is an ongoing investigation. You can count on us to keep you updated as more information is released.
