Double homicide suspect with Lawton connections arrested in New York

NEW YORK (KSWO) - Officials have captured a person of interest involved in a double homicide in Anchorage, Alaska.
Jalonni Blackshear was taken into custody in New York earlier Wednesday.
He was identified as a person of interest in a double homicide which happened Friday.
Blackshear was related to both victims, two females, ages 35 and 14.
Officials are currently considering it a domestic violence related crime and have not officially released the names of the victims.
Earlier this week, law enforcement in our area, including the Lawton Police Department, were told to be on the lookout for Blackshear due to his connection to Lawton.
According to people who have reached out to us, Blackshear graduated from high school in Lawton in the early 2000s and still has family which lives in the area.
