‘Horrifying’: Man accused of sexually assaulting underage girl in restaurant
LOS ANGELES (Gray News) - A Los Angeles man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child inside a Hollywood restaurant earlier this month.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, David Josue Lopes faces felony charges, including forcible lewd act upon a child under 14, potentially carrying a life sentence without parole.

Authorities said Lopes approached a young girl inside the restaurant on Nov. 5 and took her to a closed area out of public view, where he physically and sexually assaulted her.
“The allegations in this case are horrifying,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said. “An innocent child and her family have suffered an unthinkable trauma that will leave lasting scars.”
Lopes was taken into custody and has since pleaded not guilty to the charges he is facing.
Police said there may be additional victims and urged anyone with information about Lopes to contact detectives at 424-259-7096.
Deputy District Attorney Jeff Megee and the Los Angeles Police Department said they are continuing to investigate the case.
