LAREDO, Texas (KGNS/Gray News) – A man in Texas was arrested after police say he called 911 five times within an hour to ask for a ride to his girlfriend’s house.

According to police in Laredo, officers were dispatched to the man’s residence after he made multiple 911 calls on Nov. 4.

Ignacio Marquez-Acosta, 45, was charged with making abusive calls to 911.

Police identified him as 45-year-old Ignacio Marquez-Acosta.

Officers said he appeared to be intoxicated when they arrived.

According to police, Marquez-Acosta had repeatedly called 911 to ask for a ride to his girlfriend’s house because he was worried about her.

He was arrested and charged with making abusive calls to 911, a misdemeanor.
