LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Darien’s Voice hosted its second annual Spooktacular Resource Carnival from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Expo Building at the Comanche County Fairgrounds.

The event connected parents and caregivers of children and adults with special needs to local providers and services they may need for everyday life.

Leslie Kopepassah of Darien’s Voice Foundation said linking parents and caregivers to resources was the vision when she started the foundation.

“When I started the foundation that was the vision, was to link parents and caregivers of children with special needs to the resources. I’ve been a behavioral health case manager since 2012,” Kopepassah said. “And then I also am a parent of children with special needs so I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum.”

Darien’s Voice is a nonprofit. Support from sponsors and donors helps it keep holding events like this for families in the special needs community.
