Duncan residents’ line Main Street for Veterans Day parade

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - AMVETS Post 11 and Main Street Duncan hosted a Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. along Main Street.

People came out to wave flags, watch community members and organizations go by and show appreciation for the sacrifices veterans have made.

For many at the parade, Veterans Day is personal. Hunter Moore, a Duncan resident, said the day is about honoring “my father, grandfather, and anyone else who has ever strapped on those boots, laced up the uniforms and served overseas or in any branch of the military in any shape or form.”

Kenneth Youngblood, a member of AMVETS Post 11, said, “Veterans Day is here so that we can show our thanks to everyone that has served honorably.”
