Comanche Nation Waterpark to re-open this summer

LAWTON, Okla_We've heard it's opening and we've heard it's shutting down. You may have even received a refund from a summer pass in the mail, but today it's official. The Comanche Nation Water Park will be opening this season.

The contract has been signed between JAR Holding, LLC and the Comanche Nation.  Two of the people connected with JAR Holding, which most people around here would recognize are Aso Pogi, a former Lawton High School and Oklahoma State University quarterback and Roy Williams, former Dallas Cowboy and OU Sooner.

JAR Holding is teaming up with the tribe as the park's management team. The guys at JAR Holding say they just want a place for the youth to enjoy themselves and that's exactly what we're getting.

They're hoping to have everything ready to open the park in three weeks.  They're still working out the staffing situation, but they plan to keep the name the same, and hope to keep the changes to a minimum.

We'll have more from the tribe and the new managers tonight at ten.
