ALTUS, Okla._An Altus woman was badly injured when she was mauled by a pack of dogs.

The woman told police she went with a friend to a trailer on north Howse Street Wednesday to talk to the homeowner about buying it. The victim's friend was invited inside, while she waited on the front porch. That's when three medium to large sized dogs attacked the woman, leaving severe cuts and bite wounds on her neck, chest, arms, legs, and back. She was ultimately taken by helicopter to a hospital in Oklahoma City to be treated for her injuries.

The dogs were euthanized at the request of the owner. Three other dogs have been removed from the property temporarily. The owner was cited for having too many dogs and failure to provide rabies vaccination.

No word on the woman's condition.
