Nothing unusual over night during the "Oklahoma Purge"
LAWTON, Okla_ Police say it was a "typical night in Lawton" during the so called "Oklahoma Purge."
A flier went around the state warning of a "purge" going from 7 pm August 30 to 7 am August 31.
When police first saw the fliers they said the chances of anything happening were slim, but were going to play it safe and look into all information.
Police say there was nothing unusual overnight and did not take any more calls or respond to any other than what is considered a normal Saturday night.
The purge idea is from a movie where all crime becomes legal for 12 hours, including murder.
