Boy injured in Stephens County hunting accident

STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla._A 12-year-old boy is recovering Saturday night after a hunting accident in Stephens County.

It happened Saturday afternoon about 3 miles west of Velma.

The Stephens County Sheriff's Office says a 10-year-old tripped and fell with a gun in his hand. When he fell, the gun went off, hitting his older brother in the backside.

The boy was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City just as a precaution. Luckily, he was not seriously injured; he's listed in good condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
