Man charged in fatal wrong-way collision
COTTON COUNTY, Okla._The man accused in a wrong-way crash that killed two people just north of Randlett Friday evening has been arrested and charged.
Court documents say 45-year-old Jerry Cochran was under the influence when he was driving north in the southbound lane on I-44 in Cotton County. Court documents say Cochran slammed into another car, which sent it into a spin and then caught fire, killing the two people inside.
When OHP troopers arrived, they say Cochran was barely able to stand and failed two sobriety tests.
The next day, Cochran admitted he didn't even know how he got in the wrong lane to begin with. He is being held on a $100,000 bail, and has been charged with first-degree manslaughter with a vehicle.
