LAWTON, OK (KSWO) –Ridgecrest Elementary went on a temporary lockdown after an armed homeless man was believed to be running in the area following a domestic situation.

Police say Joseph Nuncio was confronted by his sister when he showed up at his mother's home around 12:40 p.m. Thursday. Nuncio and his sister argued before he reportedly assaulted her and pointed a gun at his sister and mother. Nuncio damaged some property in the home and ran out the back door. Once outside, he fired the gun two or three times into the air.

Because Nuncio was on foot in the area, Ridgecrest Elementary went on a temporary lockdown as a precaution. They were given the all clear and were open as normal by 2:14 p.m.

Nuncio has a valid warrant out of Texas and police are still looking for him. Nuncio is described as a Hispanic man, 25 years old, 5'4" and about 150 pounds.

If you have any information about Nuncio's whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 580-355-INFO (4636).
