LAWTON, OK (KSWO) - A pretty quick Lawton city council meeting on Tuesday night with a few items pulled from the agenda completely.
The council was going to vote on adding a $5 administration fee to the controlled elk hunt permit drawing application. We're told some wording needed to be changed before it can be voted on, and it will be back on the agenda at a later date.
Approved at council was selling $11 million worth of general obligation bonds to fund phase two of the $55.3 million dollar ad valorem street improvements program.
Members also agreed to let city staff meet with Medicine Park officials about building a fire department on city land near Lake Lawtonka.
